Stock Pathology Easy Tear Specimen Bags - Clear (MPP.B8058)

Pathology Specimen Easy Tear bags are used to hold patient specimen samples at GP practices and hospital wards. They are designed to work with the hospital's electronic requesting system, allowing tests on blood and urine samples to be requested electronically instead of using manual forms. Although the process is digital, GPs still print the request and attach it to the bag using the adhesive strip on the back. The bag’s easy-tear feature allows Pathology staff to open it quickly. There are three types:

  • Clear – for general, multi-departmental use

  • Red Urgent – for A&E, indicating urgent samples

  • Blue Microbiology – for Microbiology specimens
