The CD Transportation Carrier bag is used for transporting multiple individually bagged CD’s. This bag is tamper evident and consecutively numbered to give an audit trail from the pharmacy department to the wards. Some hospitals prefer this once use only style of bag to the Envopak, as often the Envopaks go missing leaving the pharmacy short of transport bags. Also there is a perceived risk of cross contamination when re-using the same bag that has been sent to multiple wards.
