Pharmacy - Patient's Own Medicine Bag

About this product...

Patient’s Own Medicine bags, also known as the green bag or POM bag, are supplied to the Ambulance drivers and sometimes to the A & E departments. Primarily the function of the Patient’s Own Medicine bag is for when the ambulances are called out on an emergency, the bag is given to a family member to gather the patient’s existing medication in the home. The medication could be prescribed drugs as well as herbal or contraceptive medicines. The reason for this is when the patient is admitted to the hospital, it is important for the Pharmacist or the doctor at the patient’s bedside to see a full list of the Patient’s medication to make a true assessment. A & E departments can also issue these bags to patients that are admitted onto the wards.

Above examples are bespoke bags and can be tailored to your specific requirements.
